The most stressful wedding job has to be that of a wedding coordinator. It seems like everyone wants to talk talk with her at the same time. She keeps the DJ, photgrapher, and videographer up to date on the itinerary and any changes to it. She is constantly bombarderd by wedding vendors, the bride and groom and their guests. Patience is definitely an important personal characteristic of a wedding planner. I was talking to the wedding planner's assistant and she said that even though this was her first wedding, that it was going to be her last because of all the stress involved. She stated that it simply wasn't her call in life.

There are many great wedding photographers in Utah but make sure you get the one that's right for you. There are many different styles of wedding photography. Make sure your wedding photographer fits your style and is easy to work with. Scince the advent of digital cameras many wedding photographers have emerged. Some of these newer wedding photograhers have great natural talent and can produce wedding photos superior to their more experienced competitors but this is more the exception than the rule. Wedding photography is generally an art that is refined over years of practice. When shopping wedding photographers be careful not to choose the cheapest one because, as with other wedding services, you may just get what you pay for. Research your options to make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck without sacrificing quality.

The Wedding Cake

Your wedding cake will be seen by most of your guests as a reflection of you and one of the things that will either be remembered or easily forgotton after your reception. When selecting the company to make your wedding cake, be sure that your cake person can combine a mixture of style and great taste. There are many cake sylists who make beautiful wedding cakes but may not be up to par when it comes to baking good tasting cakes. There are also cake makers who are good at making great tasting cakes but are lacking in presentation. Many wedding cake companies will present you with pictures or model replica's of their cakes, but never select a wedding cake from a company until you have tasted their work. When selecting the style of your wedding cake, you may want to portray the fun side of your personality or you my want to choose a more sophisticated or elegant looking cake if that is the atmosphere you are trying to capture at your reception.  When selecting the flavor or flavors of your cake, you may want to pick a flavor that is strickly appealing to you or a flavor you think might be appealing to the majority of your guests. Your cake designer may also offer you the option to mix and match your cake flavors. For example, one layer may be made of chocolate and another made of vanilla or strawberry.

     Another popular type of cake is the groom's cake. These cakes are found at wedding receptions in the shape of an object that represents the grooms personality. For example, you may attend a wedding where the is a cake in the shape of an Air Force Fighter Pilot's helmet, a pair of cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, or even a race car. Since most of the attention is usually given to the bride on a wedding day, this groom's cake will also give the groom a stronger feeling of inclusion on the big day.
